“There is Hope in Being Broke”

Being broken is the best position to be in for God to work in and through our lives. It is extremely important for us to understand that we have and can do nothing apart from God that brings glory to him and pleases him (John 15:5). It is essential that we yield to the Holy Spirit to guide us; to strengthen us. God’s spirit shares with us the inner most thoughts of God and only speaks to us what is spoken to Him by God.
When we are weak, God’s strength is made perfect in us and His glory is displayed for us and others to see. That is why the apostle Paul boasted all the more in his weaknesses because he knew that God was in his corner. It takes some faith to step out into the unknown and trust the Lord to show up.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” (Malachi 3:10)
Therefore, God is saying trust me with all of yourself and see if I don’t show up on your behalf. If God’s namesake is at stake, you better believe He is going to show up and be glorified. The world will know Him better through our weakness. Fear is not from God (2 Timothy 1:7). It keeps us from living the full life that God has in store for us. I am learning to focus less on who/what is against me and focus more on who is for me. There is “hope in being broke” because the only way you can go is up But when you’re up stay low because if you’re up too high, you’re bound to brake.
Stay low. Moment by moment, day by day. It’s a journey that is to be carefully tended to every step of the way.

My band Level 3:16 is all set to tour Europe this summer!! I’m so excited about this opportunity. We will be traveling to Estonia just south of Finland. According to the Dentsu Communication Institute, Estonia is the second least religious country in the world, as 75.7% of the population claim to be irreligious. It follows China, where 93% of the population claim no religion. So I’m anticipating how the Lord intends to use us on this trip to make an impact on the culture over there. This has to be one of my favorite groups. As far as I know they have been somewhat underground but their style, delivery, dynamic, and most of all their message is very on point. They look like they are beginning to emerge a bit more and I am excited to see what the Lord does with their gift. Check out their YouTube page when you get a chance. They remind me of my group Level 3:16 a bit but they are distinctly unique in style/presentation and I love it. We are all fans of them and have been wanting to collab with them for some time.

I love that line man! This song is great. Lecrae is set to release his mix tape project entitled “Church Clothes” pretty soon. Be on the look out for that. Its gonna be hot!! God has been using this man in some pretty powerful ways and I am grateful for his leadership as an artist as well as his leadership as a man of God.
